In order to rationalise the Brussels portals, geo.brussels and datastore.brussels will gradually merge into a single Brussels geographic data portal.
The data layers published on geo.brussels are already available on datastore.brussels and can be combined with other available sources.
From this summer onwards, it will no longer be possible to create new maps on geo.brussels, but you can still consult your maps until the end of November 2022.
From now onwards we invite you to use datastore to create and migrate your maps gradually.
Please note that the GeoNetwork Inspire catalogue will still be available after the merger and no changes to the webservices are expected.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to leave your comments on the Geo.brussels website.
We are planning to deploy a fix for our Geoserver on September 29th. This operation may cause minor disturbances on the Geoserver. The risk being low, if you still encounter a problem, you can reload the application. Thank you for your understanding.
Sorry, the "maps" part of the site is temporarily unavailable. We are making every effort to restore access to the service as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience. In the meantime, we invite you to discover our web services in the "web services" tab and to view our data via the regional website www.datastore.brussels.

Everything
happens somewhere. Geo-information is becoming increasingly important in the
service provision to the citizen and in the solutions offered by companies,
more and more location is a crucial parameter in the digital economy. The
National Geographic Institute, with the support of TMAB Business Events,
organizes BeGeo for the fourth time, the national conference with a scholarship
on geo-information where the government, the private sector and the research
community meet. This unique event will take place on March 19, 2019 in Brussels
EXPO. The
previous editions of the event were always a great success with an attendance
of about 1,300 participants and 50 exhibitors at the fair.
This year journalist / TV presenter Christophe
Deborsu is moderator and we can welcome our Vice-Deputy Prime, Didier Reynders

At the end of January, the INSPIRE Geoportal had to be taken off-line for unscheduled maintenance. It is now back on-line. In the coming weeks, they will be updating the Geoportal back-end infrastructure and harvesting system. This may cause some additional downtime. he new infrastructure, once in place, will provide users with a more user-friendly, robust and secure environment.
